1. The Paddle Station

2. The Calgary Zoo
The Calgary Zoo claims the title of one of Canada's top tourist destinations. The zoo features over 1,000 animals and 100 different species from around the world. There are shows on each day to enjoy as well. You can spend a few hours with your family and visit the botanical gardens, animals and a butterfly conservatory.
3. Visit the Calgary Tower
True, Calgary Tower may be positively tiny compared to Toronto’s CN Tower – 190 meters as opposed to 553 – but it’s still a great place to go to get a bird’s eye view of the city, all the way to the Rockies on the Western side of the city. Calgary Tower was originally called Husky Tower, after the famous Canadian oil company, and it was commissioned to celebrate Canada’s Centennial in 1967. When it was opened in 1968, it was the tallest freestanding structure in North America – and it is still one of the tallest buildings in the Calgary skyline. Since most of Calgary’s skyscrapers house office buildings and are therefore inaccessible to the public, the Calgary Tower is a great vantage point to look at the city!
At the top, there’s a 360° viewing deck, and a section with a glass floor – not recommended if you’re afraid of heights, but makes for some pretty cool picture opportunities!
4. Heritage Park Historical Village
One of Calgary's most beloved award-winning attractions, Heritage Park Historical Village is immensely popular. It's Canada's largest living museum and it stretches over an impressive 127 acres. There are over 200 exhibits that you can immerse yourself in as you make your way through the village. You may have to make several trips to see it all!
5. Calgary Stampede
Nicknamed the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth, the Calgary Stampede takes place every July. Each night features a world-class rodeo performance. The days come packed with family-friendly activities. You can experience cattle auctions, chuckwagon races, games, rides, and a huge array of food.
6. Royal Tyrrell Museum
Just a short drive from Calgary, the Royal Tyrrell Museum is a dinosaur lover's paradise. It's open seven days a week. You'll find 30 of the most complete dinosaur skeletons anywhere in the world in this museum. The Marine Specifics exhibit is a new feature, and it dates back 75 million years.
7. Calaway Park
Calgary has a very young demographic, which is reflected in the popular attractions. Calaway Park has the title of Calgary's largest outdoor amusement park. Currently, it features 23 games and 32 rides. There is also a 3D movie theater and dozens of food booths to enjoy. It's all set to a stunning backdrop of the picturesque the Rocky Mountains.
